First, welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your time here with the rest of the community. Cheesy

To be able to answer your question, we'd need a lot more information about your machine. Could you please post the complete specs; amount of RAM, CPU, if it's a purchased machine, the make and model, whether the drives are IDE/PATA or SATA, what browser you are using, and what codecs you've installed. The more we know about the machine, the more likely we can solve your problem.

If your problem is with a specific site, please post a link, so we can see if we can duplicate the problem.

No offense, but that link basically says you have a laptop with built in sound, and Windows 7 as an OS. It doesn't answer any of the questions asked about the physical properties of the machine, what browser you are using, nor the codecs you have installed.  Huh

no hard feelings mate
prolly they've made some changes there, last time I checked it gave the specs

maybe this one:
http://www.sony.ch/lang/de/product/vn-nw-series/vgn-nw21mf-s
for some reason I can't find it in Engles, sorry

about the codecs - no intereference as of yet, i.e. the system is as it is, I haven't installed anything
using latest version of PCLOX

I couldn't find an English page there either, but the important stuff I can figure out. It's a nice machine. Grin

In Synaptic, click the Reload button first, to be sure the current packages are shown. Then click Mark All Upgrades. Click Apply, then Apply again in the pop up window. Wait for the process to complete.

Once you are fully upgraded, click the Search button, then in the pop up window, type win32-codecs-all, then press the Enter key. In the right pane right click on the box, then choose Mark for Installation, then click Apply and Apply. When the codecs are done installing, try the site with the WMP videos again. They should play smoothly. If not, we may have to add a couple of links, but try this first.
