In KDE 4, what is the method for changing PC Menu button to something more custom? What size icon should I use to replace the button? I've seen others' desktop where this has been done.

that or just change the iconset, in kde control center
remember that in kde-look.org you will find more artwork that can be easily added to your system without breaking something in the install
the icons work for kickoff and kmenu, other menus could have different ways to do it, like kbfx

Thanks, guys. Since I'm not in forn to f my PCLinuxOS system at the moment, I'm assuming, from options, I can point to my own custom icon?

..you should consider adding them to the wiki, as well as the tips & tricks section of the forum! I think most people search the forum &/or wiki more than youtube when looking for support solutions.

They really are great videos, and are deserving of much more exposure!
I would love to take the time to do a few write-ups to accompany them, but currently my time is quite limited due to other projects.. if you wouldn't mind dropping me a PM as you create new ones, I will try to get to it eventually!

Got the email with Youtube notification . Glad You like it . Andy Andy, absolutely outstanding stuff! My apologies for not seeing it sooner. BTW, what pixel size should that menu icon be? 32 x 32? 64 x 64? What works best? I know Gimp has a plug-in that allows you to make an icon instantly from just about any image. It's called Iconify2.scm in case anyone needs to make an icon. Iconify2 plug-in converts a single layer of a single image into a multi-layered image ready to be saved as a Windows icon. ;The new image will contain all standard sizes (16x16, 32x32, 48x48) at all standard bit depths (16 colors, 256 colors, 32-bit RGBA), with transparency support. *Note: Not fully tested though, so be sure to try it on an "expendable" copy of an image first. I've tried it and it works great! However, I can't remember if I used it in KDE 3.5 or my current KDE4 set up. I'll check it again tonight as I'll need to make an icon for the menu.
