*** WHY? ***

« on: January 29, 2010, 09:06:06 PM »

Only two taskbar issues remaining - the systemtray background is not completely transparent, and the systemtray icons do not scale in the same manner as the main taskbar launcher icons do.  It is so close... does anyone know of any way to proceed, please?  I have opened both of the following files in Inkscape:

/home/me/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme/Plix/widgets/systemtray.svgz
/home/me/.kde4/share/apps/desktoptheme/Plix/widgets/translucentbackground.svgz

selected every single bit of gray, and performed Filters>Transparency utilities>Saturation map upon them to render all completely transparent, then Saving and subsequently restarting the window manager with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, but still the grey pall remains.  How to get rid of it?  I'm stumped.

Oh, yes - the screenshot:

Oh.  Sorry; I was more concerned with the taskbar appearance than with the GKrellM theming, apparently - that particular theme [Beta] suited an e17 desktop nicely, but I'd forgotten to change it.  Perhaps this theme [Aliens] could be a better fit...:
