I use a dial-up connection and use safe-mail.net for an e-mail provider. To the best of my knowledge, it does not use SMTP either (but I could be mistaken). What I did is this:
Where I was asked for the SMTP server, I substituted the server name that safe-mail uses. It works perfectly. Hopefully, your problem is just as easily solved. If it is not, then you will need to do as suggested in the other posts:
Provide detailed information as requested.
By the way, is your native language Portuguese? If so, you may also try looking for help in the Spanish forum (I understand Spanish is much closer to Portuguese than English is to Portuguese).

It looks as if I'm guilty of the classic "open mouth to speak before engaging brain" mistake! I just noticed that a Portuguese forum exists... I'd wager that Portuguese is closer to Portuguese than Spanish is to Portuguese... I'm so-o-o-o embarrased!
