I recently upgraded all my PCLOS boxes to KDE 4. All went smoothly and I'm learning about all the features and am quite impressed with it. There's a setting I'm trying to find and was wondering if anyone can help me out. On one of my boxes, the panel somehow defaulted to a setting whereby when an application is launched and its title appears in the taskbar, when I move the cursor over it, there is a sort of orange/yellow glow that follows the pointer. It's only when moving over the title in the panel. It's really quite cool! How is this feature enabled? I've looked all around but can't seem  to find reference for this effect.

I think that is a per theme setting, try using a different theme and see if it persists, also if you have smooth tasks installed check in those settings.

Hmmm. All boxes have the Oxygen theme but only one seems to have this behavior. Gotta be something!

themes behaves differently if the composite engine is on/off. Is composite engine on/off on all of your systems? maybe the one with the effect has composite enabled and others dont
