I am using KDE 3.5.10.  When I right click on a file/folder to 'move to' or 'copy to', I no longer have those options.
I can copy or cut.

I don't remember when I no longer had this function but just recently noticed it.  Could I have changed a setting without knowing it?  I hope I can get it working again.

I found the KDE Components/file manager. There were 3 tabs: Appearance, Behavior, Previews & Meta-Data
I did not see anything referring to quick copy and move.

But I may be in the wrong place.  Sad

I know the pakages needed for that.

I luv that feature too! Grin

In Synaptec whenyou select "kdeaddons". It'll grab all that stuff needed. Its sounding to me like your packages may just need to be reinstalled.

Just open up Synaptec. refresh it and search for "kdeaddons". And if its already showing as "installed". Just reinstall it.

Hi ms_meme...

Minime does not have the kde-addons installed by default - true... However ms_meme was able to use those functions before so I am assuming she either had full PCLOS kde version installed or installed kde Addons manually... however there is a different thing that concerns me... If I recall correctly... and I do... Update (2 or 3 weeks ago) was removing KDE Addons...

Let me find You a link...

Probably what happened was ms_meme has updated to the latest versions and that removed the 'copy to' and 'move to' functions...

You should probably stop updating if you are still clinging to KDE 3 and switch to youcantoo's frozen repository.

Sorry ms_meme... Hate giving bad news to good people...

Maybe if You would switch to frozen repository and install kdeaddons from there... but then You would have to force to downgrade some of the packages which is not ideal...

Andy

P.S. Maybe this will help.
