The only dumb question is the one not asked.

Hi,

I just did a minime 2009 install, full update, kernel upgrade to 2.6.27 and a upgrade to KDE4.

After running a remasterme, I cannot find the *.iso file. I ran remasterme twice and the second one showed 500 MB larger than the previous run. So, I know it is in there somewhere but a file search with Dolphin shows nothing. I used the same file name as the remasterme output for the search and started from / including subfolders and hidden files. No results.

Here is the output from the second remasterme run:

root@localhost rick]# remasterme
This script tries to remaster your current install.
The iso will be created as pclinuxos-2010.iso
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda1             7.4G  2.3G  4.8G  32% /
/dev/hda6             6.0G  172M  5.8G   3% /home
You try to remaster 2 Gigabyte install
You need at least 0 Gigabyte freespace
The free space avaialable for remaster 4 Gigabyte

Can anyone tell me where the iso sits?

Rick.

Thanks folks, I found it.
Odd that file search will show anything from the system except what is in /root. But, that's the way it is.

Thanks again

Rick.

Look in /root. If you do not see it there, look in /.

Try logging in as root, be sure not to be online to be safe. I turn off my wifi or unplug my cable to be sure. then look in your / root folders. look in temp to. I remember this happening, and even using the super user file, as a regular user, they didn't show.
