Hi,
I have been successfully remastering my PCLinuxOs installation for the past few weeks.
Now, I upgraded to KDE4, the Remaster goes well, ISO is created, burning is no problem in K3B.
While trying install through 'draklive-install', I get the following error message in four lines:

xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ";0.0"

The installation goes through smoothly and I find no further problems, yet i am curious about the error.
Can anyone tell me about it and the solution, if needed ?

Hi shrinivas

Congratulations... You are a 100 person that asks this question without searching Cheesy! LOL!

Search term used: xlib extension

Thread found:

http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,67033.msg545524.html#msg545524

Answer given:

Harmless warning message and will go away when the xorg update is complete. Nothing to worry about ok.

Plus to me personally You are a Master Of The Thread Subject Line Creators

Some error... Thats so much better then for example... Advise needed on error: [xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ";0.0"] or something similar / bit shorter... Smiley.

Hope I have helped Smiley.

Andy

BTW: Happens to all of us so... Dont worry... I am not picking on You. Enjoy PCLinuxOS. Smiley

Old-Polack: any better?  Sproggy Its a good link directly to Texstars post...

Don't feel bad. A major attack was launched at me a while back because I used color in my font.

First off it wasn't old polack that was the "attacker".

You know, I just wrote a whole bunch more, but erased it. After all this thread was about "some error".

Have a nice day.
