I'm missing something.

I went to http://pclinuxos.com
There, I went to the "Get PCLinuxOS" page
Next I downloaded the iso for Gnome Zen-mini Desktop
Then I created a live cd from the iso

I started my computer from the live cd and it ran beautifully.

I thought "This is pretty good, I'll stay with this". And I began to look for some way to install to the hdd.
But I can't find any way to do that. Should there be a button on the desktop? A menu item in the drop down menus? A command for terminal? Is it a secret?
Am I the only one who cant figure this?

oooh, nasty. Sad  nillus panicus.

welcome home, phonecian.  o-p is teasing you.

we'll need to know the version of pclinuxos you are using and the computer specification.  then we can guide you through the process.

in the meantime, read some of the threads and see how to lay out the information you present.  this will better aid us to help you.

Welcome to the, sometimes silly, little corner of the penguin universe that we call home. We really do help people here, when not being a tad wacky.

I have not personally tried the Zen-mini .iso yet, so this is a serious question. Is there not an icon on the desktop that says something like "Install PCLinuxOS"? There has been, on all the versions I've installed.

There will be an install icon the desktop. All versions have one, and i've tested them all.

Well you're one up on me, so it's nice to know, for sure, nothing got left out on the Zen-mini .iso. Thanks for clearing that up. Wink

If there is no Install button on the Desktop (I doubt that very much)

Press ALT + F2 keyboard combo... Type in:

Code:
draklive-install

and click OK.

phonecian,
If there is no install icon on your desktop, you probably have a bad burn or a bad download. Did you check the md5sum of the download? Did you run the mediacheck on the CD?
