________Joker, welcome home.  get a brew, sit down in a comfy chair and chill.  for people to help you effectively, they need to know what you are doing and how.  you installed which version of pclinuxos?  on what specification computer did you install it to?

reading some of the threads in 'hd installation', to where i am moving you, will turn up a lot of useful tips on what information to provide.

you will see that your thread is renamed to reflect the help you need.

packages are build against specific versions of certain critical libraries. Those critical libraries were build on those years and all packages that were build against those specific libraries have those years in their suffix. They should be unnecessary detail to you. Dont worry about them

can you give more info on the errors you are getting? do you get them when you are updating the first time, on subsequent updates?

It will be helpful if you also mention the exact error you are getting. The more info you give when asking for support, the more precise support may be provided.
