Okay, so I like the look of E17 but there's some 'features' about it which are very annoying - specifically:

1)  How do I stop the cursor from flipping to the next adjacent desktop?  I've gone into the 'Virtual Desktops' settings and turned off all 'flipping' there, but that didn't actually do anything.

2)  How do I disable all power management to stop the screen from blanking?

3)  How do I set up different backgrounds on different desktops?

4)  How do I set up apps to open in certain positions (or modes) on certain desktops?

5)  As with KDE4, I can't seem to find any way to set either the panel opacity or its background image, so I'm guessing those are 'theme-settable'-only.  How do I create/edit themes for E17?

It's difficult for others to address a number of questions in one thread. Try one question at a time. Smiley

Well:

2) To disable the control of energy, must do so from, KDE or Gnome, etc. LXDE.
3) Every time you change your wallpaper, a window that asks where you want the desktop wallpaper.
You can also load the emodule "Deskshow" or "Wallpaper2"

The other issues do not understand, sorry.

Agust, you should know the last part of question #5, you're good at making new themes. Wink

#4 Not real sure that is possible in E17, might have to google that one. Pretty easy with compiz but E17 doesn't run with compiz enabled, at least not without some work.

#2 For this maybe log into KDE (if that's your main D/L desktop), make adjustments there for "never", log back into E17, or maybe you're describing the x-screensaver and it's settings?

#1 It's in a configuration screen, but been so long I honestly don't remember. It was irritating to me too, rather use compiz, window switcher in the panel, or the right click option for Gnome.

#3 It's in a configuration section also.

Thank you so much maddogf  Wink. I have explained many times in Spanish, but people really do nothing.
I was taught "Rui and Aubrey" by OzOS, but really taught me is Tom Haste "Toma".
If there is more interest in the subject, will explain how, in Spanish.

If it were possible to open a topic of configuration of E17, would explain how to configure the desktop e17.
