Actually,I don`t have any firewall up,I am using 8 port switch/router connected to an ADSL modem(my home phone is on the same line) and all 3 home comps are connected to the switch it`s Linksys, I think.Up to now almost 11 months I have not any problems requiring a firewall enabled-I never log as a root. And a .png snapshot showing my partitions is in the previous post.If you look at,there is an unused partition in the beginning of the hard, but I have no idea how to make it useful by moving my /home there?

it will be easier if we discuss this over the irc channel ..you should have xchat installed, start it and it will automatically log you in to pclinuxos-support channel .. i have the same name i am using here

The FreeNode IRC rejects my name(ross.m),I`v changed it(rossem) but it keeps trying to connect me with the invalid one and of course I get rejected again and again...
Right now I chat with a mate in Dubai via Skype, how it looks as a possibility?

i dont have skype ..if you use xchat, close it down and delete .xchat folder in your home directory and try again. That folder is a hidden folder and you will have to enable your file manager to show hidden files to see it
