lxde-halevt-additions is in the repos. Smiley Once you have it installed, you can edit /etc/halevt/halevt.xml to add or make changes for your preferences. Smiley
Sounds like an excellent idea, but ... I don't care for all the packaging dependencies. I'm running on a netbook with no permanent optical writer, so why would I want gnomebaker, etc.?

I just copied a halevt.xml from another forum post, and I will experiment with that.

With PCManFM-0.9.9 (most current version) halevet is no longer needed.

You mean this optionless popup that comes up when You put the media in? I have installed KDE4 iso and lxde on top of it. There is a gnome installed and xfce as well Wink I put the dvd into the drive and I get option to open it in the file manager... Roll Eyes... I was hoping to get multiple options for the VideoDVD or AudioCD, I was hoping to be able to default the choice for all similar types of media. Lets say AudioCD would always open in XMMS... Nope - its to much Cheesy - I can open it in the file manager and I think there is one more option... not sure. Where can I edit this super tool full of options? Cheesy!

Right click menu shows the default app first. If it isn't the one you want or isn't set, choose "open with," choose the app and click "set as default."

PCManFM does the mounting / unmounting, etc, now. If you prefer to use halevt, go ahead and do so.
Information about PCManFM can be found at http://lxde.org/
