PCLinuxOS Slang words
«

Newbies to the PCLinuxOS distribution may not be familiar with some of our slang words so I'll list a few. If you can think of any more please add to this list.
PCC = The PCLinuxOS Control Center or Configure your Computer. This is the administration center for controlling various services for the distribution.
KCC = KDE Control Center also known as Configure your Desktop.
Repo = The software repository where we store all of our packages. These packages are installed/removed with the Synaptic Package Manager.
OP = Original Poster. The first person who started a topic.
O-P = Old Polack. A forum Admin
Mods = Forum Moderators. These people monitor the forum and try to keep everything within the Forum Rules.
Admin = Site /Forum administrator
PASS = Premium Access Software Server - This is our pay server and available for those who donate towards the development of PCLinuxOS. All new software goes here first.

One of the most confusing, at least for me, when I was new. O-P = Original Poster. OP = Old Polack.
Da Man = Texstar
The Man = Texstar
The Guru = Texstar
The Master = Texstar
And Mod? I think I'll pass on the several possible meanings of that term.

Oh, thought O-P was reserved for Old Polack
Yep! That's what I was told.
