I just would like to give some thanks for the helpful community we got here.  As shown in a recent thread here, I ask a question and get useful and helpful answers.  And when the problem wasn't solved in one go, I still got more help until it was solved.  From Texstar even.  And this isn't the first time I've gotten help like this here.

Now, it'd be easy to smirk at a Windows user and challenge him to show me such useful assistance quickly and free.  But based on my experiences, I'd go so far as to issue the same challenge to an Ubuntu user.

We may not be a big, popular distro.  However, I think that works to our advantage.  Things are cozier here.

Gotta be careful with that one. We don't want to get trampled by Ubuntu's huge number Wink

PCLinuxOS: A revolution in personal computing

At this site you can see the wood for the trees and that's what keeps the forum healthy. And we don't encourage smart-assed comments to stupid questions from beginners, because we know that some of the most knowledgeable people here probably started off by asking a stupid question - we all had to learn.

So thanks for the kind words, and hopefully all contributors to the forum will help us to keep it that way.
