WoW...now this is a really awesome game. Love it!!! Thanks for sharing dubigrasu. And BTW-for all those who liked Quantz-got email from Quantz team: QuantZ for Linux is on sale and we decided to sell it for $6.50 till the end of January. We really would like to thank you for all your help, your support, your comments regarding the Linux Version of QuantZ. This helped us to develop the (almost?) perfect game for Linux. We fixed most of the bugs, added a tutorial mode, developed some cool stuff like Christmas QuantZ (you will see that next december . Developing games for Linux is really important to us. Most of our team members are Linux users, lovers and defenders. Another important point is WE TRUST THE LINUX COMMUNITY! That is why QuantZ for Linux is totally DRM free. This will allow you to install QuantZ on all your computers. Thank for not distributing.

Neural Ned, used to play at Win 3.11. A little neural creation you can teach to survive faster finding food and escaping obstacles in its simple world. Gamers can compete creating the best survivor that climbed the highest level. Under Wine. http://www.gamers.org/pub/games/uwp-uml/education/Look for neuraln.

Wow interesting thread. I'm really interested in trying a game I found for Linux called Yo! Frankie http://www.crystalspace3d.org/main/YoFrankie! this is the only link I could find to it that was working today. Has anyone here tried it? I haven't seen it in the repositories and am not sure about installing it by myself.

...............At this moment I have an 2800 Barton processor with a 7600GT Nvidia graphic card (a relic some would say) and I can rarely complain about low FPS.
i burnt my7600 playing quake4 at max details,i now have an 4650 ati card, but unfortunately to get the most of my card i boot to windows, even at max details textures and effects looked a lot better on my now defunct 7600 while playing on linux. nvidia+linux two thumbs up ati +linux a waste of resources my fav native games on linux: doom3 quake4 enemy territory alien arena battletank mahjong fillets ng puzzle bubble atomix puzzle games on wine: need for speed most wanted nulldc (dreamcast emulator)

I would love to get involved, I have not found a single native Linux Game that is any good. I can run ET:Quake Wars but it runs better on Windows but don't change the fact that it's a bit crap. Some stuff you can get to run using Wine but in most cases PunkBuster wont run, so you are stuck with the cheats and hackers on the cracked servers. Playing 5 year old games with low frame rates and crap graphics just so you can run them on Linux. Some games push the abilities of a Windows system, something they have been written for, they just don't work in Wine. I play a lot of ArmA:2 at he moment, Wine wont get anywhere near it, I have tried. Some times you just have to duel boot to Windows, sorry. Show me a Linux game that looks like this and plays this well, I'll join you... ARMA 2 GAMEPLAY on GTX 260 Core 216 SLI, i7 920 @ 3.8GHz HDHave you tried the Penumbra series? Not particularily my genre but very spooky and amazing graphics. http://www.penumbragame.com/Latest game that I've been wasting my time on is AndYetItMoves - A blast back to the past of platform gaming but with a twist:- http://www.andyetitmoves.net/If all else fails I try Wine. I eventually got Modern Warfare 2 working but you need a decent rig to play at a good frame rate....As Dubigrasu says... A big part of the fun is getting it working on Linux

I play Lord of the Rings Online, Eve Online, Counterstrike source, Day of Defeat source and Fallout 3 all in Wine/Crossover games. I was impressed that Star Trek online ran in Wine on release day. However i don't play it 'cos it's boring

About the only game I play anymore on a somewhat regular basis is Battle for Wesnoth. I have my 12yr old hooked as well and we play against (and with) each other as well as setting up games with some friends from out of province.
I would love to play with any of the forum members here!
I'll have to start using my forum nick on the wesnoth servers I guess.

We played Wesnoth a lot but not anymore, we don't even have that game installed, we're in a sort of "fast killing" stage

I played it on windows but now I am a Linux Freak
One thing with some of the "free online games" is that they need shockwave to bad
Torcs an Flight Gear is cool also an I love playing them
I only play Open Source, install by synaptic games
