I was messing around with the widgets in the panel in KDE 4 and accidentally clicked on remove this panel.
It removed all of the panel at the bottom of the screen ( PC -PCC -Dolphin- system tray -Clock )
 you get the idea.

Is there any way to restore the original panel ?

Log in as root then remove /home/yourusername/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc file logout and log back in again as your normal user.

I tried this solution and it got me back to  very weird configuration - not the one I had after install, i.e. no PCLOS wallpaper, no PCC icon, etc.
