Open a terminal console and su to root
type su enter your root password type mkdir -p /etc/adobe type echo "OverrideGPUValidation=true" > /etc/adobe/mms.cfg
Don't expect the hack to be a magical speed boost option but it does help with tearing and choppiness. Hopefully Adobe will one day fix flash in Linux instead of giving us workarounds.

Or someday some Linux people will come up with something better: http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/ Thanks for the hack btw.

I can verify that this hack does indeed work. All my choppiness has gone away + flash seems to start quicker. Love it. Thanks Tex!

How do I undo the go around? it makes my full screen mode do weird things... there is grey and white bars blinking from the bottom to the top of the screen.

remove/delete the /etc/adobe/mms.cfg file. Thanks anyway Tex, I use Compiz, so tried it in KDE 3.5 and still did the same thing.
