My wife's Fujitsu Amilio Centrino laptop stopped working yesterday. It would not be persuaded to do anything in XP, not even access the BIOS.

I tried the Live CD I made 2 weeks ago (for my own laptop) and the Fujistu booted and was online in just a couple of minutes.

So I decided install PCLinuxOS and wipe XP. My wife is now really pleased to have a fast computer once again after months of XP beings really s-l-o-w.

Everything functions like new. A great OS that enhances the reputation of Linux.

PCLinuxOS has no wealthy sponsors and can only survive with your donations! Don't wait it might be too late.

Other miracles : in a near past, I was not aware of some characteristics of laptops trade marks.
But I succeeded to install PCLinuxOS even on my Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo SI 2636 (next time, I'll buy a Dell, Lenovo or Samsung), and on Acer laptops !

Same here. What I find is that it seems to spread like sailor's disease. A new computer will arrive and sooner or later PCLinuxOS ends up on it.
