Linux - it's elementary

« Reply #168 on: November 29, 2009, 01:56:03 AM »

Now that Thanksgiving is officially over, let it snow!

It was included in one of the latest updates. I think it was the update to kde 3.4.3  last week. The weather plasmoid I got from opening the widget icon on the desktop and then downloading it from there. There are a couple of them available I think.

What's it called? I've looked through Synaptic, the list available via the cashew > Add Widgets > Install New Widgets, and KDE-look but I still haven't found it. Thanks.

Hay there folks
Sorry, the size I got it as is 800x525 (http://pixdaus.com/single.php?id=193317) I let KDE (3.5 type) do the resizing for my wallpaper ( configure- Kdesktop, scale and crop), and just did it with showfoto to my screen size of 1024x768 and it looks fine to me. I shrank down my screen shot to make it fit better and hopefully load faster (with showfoto).
