Paul, I see Mondo has been updated, and I am testing the update before writing anything.  Then I'll make sure my research is up to date and working before I submit.  Just a heads up.

Any particular word count limit I should be aware of?  Should I be using screen shots?  How much is too much for file sizes?

As far as I know there's no limit on word count. You can use screenshots - .png files work best for the magazine.... as far as file sizes, Paul can probably answer that better than I can....

Just adding my 2 cents......

catlord17,

There should be no worries on file sizes. Also, Meemaw is right ... we don't have a word count limit.

Thanks!

Thanks, MeeMaw.  I find that making the complex easy needs a lot of specifics, and that usually adds up to words and graphics.  I am also thinking this could be a multi-part thing... because it can be run from a curses cased GUI, a straight CLI command, or a liveCD (Parted Magic), and I was also thinking about doing an piece on how to recover files if you have problems with restoration.

Excellent!!!! especially the recover files part - everyone has need for that at least once..... (and some of us more than that!!!!)

Thanks!

catlord17,

I think a multi-part article would be great! One covering the GUI version, another covering the CLI (more powerful), and the LiveCD. And, I think the file recovery bit is an awesome idea. It would really reveal the full power of Mondo Archive.
