What do you use to record the video?

I see you have it from boot to the desktop.

I have recorded video from VirtualBox with a gtk-recordmydesktop. Then I have used mencoder to convert the OGV file to AVI... Then I used Imagination to make the intro slideshow and I have saved it as a video file and used mencoder to encode it to AVI again. I have been using avidemux to make a small corrections to the video (cut some bits out etc.). Then I used mencoder to join 2 videos and as a last bit I have added the audio track downloaded from jamendo using mencoder in konsole again... Long process. Full of surprises Smiley

LXDE video is being uploaded Smiley.

No problems, it isn't my topic after all. Perhaps DeBaas can change the topic into "videos made by PCLinuxOS users" ?
That would make me feel a bit better Smiley

Andy or DutchWolfie,

if one you media gurus could make and upload a demo of running addlocale to convert a standard English KDE PCLinuxOS into Polish or Dutch that would be very much appreciated! We have this feature now for quite some time but it has never been mentioned in any review. Makes me doubt that people outside the forum know that they can have PCLinuxOS in their language. And in addition, it would be a very helpful tool for newcomers to see how to accomplish adding their native locale.

and yes, a great idea to provide links to these clips already on the PCLinuxOS homepage! This is fantastic!

@ pinoc... Sorry but due to some networking / internet sharing problems / I cannot get the Internet to work in the virtualbox just yet. Whenever this will get sorted I could do the video but I dont think it will happen anytime soon. Sorry about that.

@ DeBass... Wink

DutchWolfie, thank you so much, this is awesome news! A lot of people still think PCLinuxOS is English-only. Your video will help changing this misperception and promote PCLinuxOS to the non-English speaking community! Fantastic!!!

-pinoc

PS: maybe you can even include running GetOpenOffice?
