Oooops  Shocked
What a shock to return to the forbidden forums  Wink and read your own name in this topic.
You all are far too kind since this is such a simple video.
I don't really know if Tex means my video or Andrzej's one.
Anyway, what i used is RecordMyDesktop for recording the installation that runs in Virtualbox.
Since RMD uses ogg as an output i had to convert it with Mobile Media Converter into mpg to be used in Avidemux.
In Avidemux i cut out the long scene's to make the video shorter and uploaded the first one to Youtube.
Then i used Audacity to edit the music to the length of the video, the original music lasted over 8 minutes. Then when i figured out how to include the music with the video again with Avidemux i uploaded this second one to Youtube. This one is embedded in our Dutch PCLinuxOS site, replacing the long used 2007 PCLinuxOS video that was made by someone else. Another video about using the localization script is about ready to go on-line.
Now i am going low profile again.....

Texstar meant Your video.

I did it slightly different way.

I have recorded video from VirtualBox with a gtk-recordmydesktop. Then I have used mencoder to convert the OGV file to AVI... Then I used Imagination to make the intro slideshow and I have saved it as a video file and used mencoder to encode it to AVI again. Than I used mencoder to join 2 videos and as a last bit I have added the audio track downloaded from jamendo using mencoder in konsole again...

Exactly.. Both videos were done about PCLinuxOS using PCLinuxOS apps.  Wonderful jobs, both of you.

What do you use to record the video?

I see you have it from boot to the desktop.
