:DI had a go of PCLinuxOS 2007 ; but had a bit of trouble with my hardware, so I gave up in the end and stuck with win xp
But now with the latest effort by the PCLinuxOS team I have installed onto my Hard drive and have everything : without chasing after needed drivers All of which installed easier than windows ever did.
Well done team on a great effort

You say PCLOS is better than XP? I don't agree. XP is the funniest operating system out there, nothing could beat it, especially this stable PCLOS. Ok maybe vista is funnier(I'm not sure, I haven't used Vista, I was allready using this boring PCLOS ) .

There are no contests in the Art of Peace. A true warrior is invincible because he or she contests with nothing. Defeat means to defeat the mind of contention that we harbor within.

To beat the boredom from using your rock solid stable OS, you could test a new iso, learn to package, test packages, or when things are really bad, resort to game playing. When you're not hanging out in the Forums of course.

There ya go..... I am not really into the humor that is XP anymore - I got to work the other morning and it was frozen - had to push the button to shut it down... then when I turned it on it blue-screened and shut down again and restarted...... there are many more things I need to do at work than to keep messing with it....... but since it's the company's machine, I'll just keep messing with it...... (ugh) Nice to get home to PCLOS!!!! Welcome back, weldeyes!!!!!

Well everyone I finally don it !!! I now have a dedicated PCLOS machine No more Win XPuke to crash and give me the pip ![/size] The full install went like a dream and in a third of the time XP did and I didn't need any fist full of CDs to get any of my hardware to go. Thanks once again for the team's hard work ; you have made an old fart very happy.
