Promo group.

I have a question.
This is kind of a 'what if' situation, so please bear with the suppositions.
Where is PCLinuxOS going? By this I mean, where does the development team see PCLinuxOS in 3 years? 5 years?
I ask this because there are a number of other distributions who have 'promotion teams" that represent the distribution at conferences, user group meetings, etc...
Is PCLinuxOS willing/wanting to establish 'official' promo teams/individuals to 'officially' represent the distro at such events in local and regional events?
I bring all this up because BEL Project recognizes 5 Linux distros that we feel are the 'cream of the crop" and PCLinuxOS is one of those five.
I would be willing to participate on a "promo team" for PCLinuxOS as I do/will for any of the other four distros.BEL Project supports, especially here in the U.S. Midwest.
I intend to start a 'cross-promo team' for BEL project in which BEL Project will participate in local user group meetings and at local area conventions trying to promote Linux and specifically the five distros for adoption by small businesses, schools and non-profits.
I have/am sigining up to be a member of the promo teams of each of the five distros if they have one. If BEL Project participates in an event and I am not a member of one of the distros official promo teams, I will still include the 'non-affiliated' distro but letting people know that I and BEL Project are not 'officially' representing that distro.
For those I am on promo teams, I will be able to better 'officially represent those distros and perhaps provide more resources as the promo teams have created.
A PCLinuxOS 'promo team' could possibly dramatically raise awareness and 'credibility ( so to speak) for PCLinuxOS at such events and it may be worth discussing.
just thinking out loud,
Big Bear
