There once was two girls and a cup.
My friend said watch this close up.

Ok, I'd better stop right there before I get in trouble! Cheesy

Then Tex chickend out
But ms_meme held stout
And ended the rhyme with a Yup.

Now we are getting somewhere.  Cheesy Cheesy

Could there be a clarification of the word "stout". Do I get my choice?  Grin

noun:   a garment size for a large or heavy person
noun:   a strong very dark heavy-bodied ale made from pale malt and roasted unmalted barley and (often) caramel malt with hops
 adjective:   dependable

Try strong, dependable, or unwavering in conviction or character. I kind of like the last one. Cheesy Wink

Sometimes I'm not good with a rhyme
other times I end up fine
a limerick is fun
when its properly done
but that would just take too much time

That's a great limerick, athaki!!  Your originality and high standard will be hard to follow.  Wink  You have assured yourself a place of perpetuality (or something) in The New PCLOS Magazine.  Grin

It seems there needs to be a lesson on how to write a limerick for the March FF.

First choose a member of strong, dependable, unwavering character. You can probably find one of those in the Sandbox.   Roll Eyes
Next read all of his/her worthwhile posts. (shouldn't take long)
Study their profile and avatar.
Then review all worthwhile comments about said member. (shouldn't take long)
Sift and shuffle through this information to find the truth. And truth (skewed, twisted, distorted, contorted, bent, spun, twined or warped) is the essense of any good limerick.
A good site of rhyming words is also helpful.

Put your thoughts into a "ta da da ta da da ta da" and you will have a limerick.

I will demonstrate with Scoundrel for the lesson.

Scoundrel said it's time to be nice
I'll do it once - maybe twice
He tried and tried
And then he cried
It's really not worth the price

meme sang a song or two
while she was singing she doodled and drew
She came up with a picture or two
and when she was done, she posted a few.

We had such fun and fanfare then fright
We recognized ourselves a mite
We saw ourselves, it was us she was drawing
We realized she found her calling

One song, then two, then three, then four
I just sat back and waited for more
With each new magazine she brings
Joy with every new song she sings

..... But wait...... There's More!  Nope, I got nuttin.

Edit:  OOps spelled it wrong:
Noun 1. mite - a slight but appreciable amount; "this dish could use a touch of garlic"
soupcon, tinge, jot, pinch, speck, hint, touch
small indefinite amount, small indefinite quantity - an indefinite quantity that is below average size or magnitude

O-P and a wall that was plastered.
For lunch he decided he'd mastered.
With his fork and a chew,
he spit out, exclaimed euww!
Well you can't eat a wall you O-P?

rudge:

In this forum, some posters should fear...
The old-polack that almost lives here.
If they post something crude...
Or exceptionally rude...
Their postings, just might disappear.

Old-Polack has sent me a sign.
For my posts, there might be a fine.
My limerick was wrong,
apologies in song,
so long as you never delete mine.

The Forum Foibles for the April (fools) issue of The New PCLinuxOS Magazine will be quite simple.  I am not asking anybody to help with resolutions, hearts or limericks.  Parnote is going to give me permission to copy the whole Sandbox into my little column. (He just doesn't know it yet...more fool he!)  Grin

FORUM FOOLS are my delight
I can spot them a mile away
Always posting day and night
Don't think before they say

What's this you ask some mistake
Surely no FOOLS exist
Sorry to give you a double take
But I really must insist
