December is the time for giving to each and every friend
A little gift or thought is the traditional trend

So show your favorite poster how much you really care
Send me a pm about it then in the mag I'll share

Here's the plan:   You ( that means U ) think of a little stocking stuffer you would like to give a forum friend. Then send me a pm telling about your gift.  I will put it on a little gift tag to be opened when the December Magazine arrives.

Examples:

(no more poems?   )

Remember do not post your gift here.  SHHHHHH   It is a secret.  PM your idea to me.  There are only a few shopping days before I must meet the December magazine deadline, so start planning now.  Plus there is only so much room in the stocking, so you will want to be one of the first to submit your gift.

All gifts will be published at the discretion of scrooge the magazine editor.

And remember the tag will say:
To: (your forum friend)
From: (your name)

BE NICE!!

PS...I like the lacy stuff.
(prefer black--any size)

Great idea, ms_meme. Kinda reminds me on a tradition I used to indulge myself with many Christmases ago. I believe it was called Chris Kringle. Not exactly the same process but good idea. Afterthought ... I wonder if you're gonna get swamped with PMs.

I certainly hope my IN BOX will be full.  This is going to separate the men from the cheapskates. And if it gets too full.....well that will be parnote's problem.  Grin And if it doesn't fill up......guess whose gonna be stuck buying all the presents.  Cry Cry

Er...a...Archie, I don't recall getting a pm from you.......and don't try the excuse..."I gave at the office."  Angry

Hi!  Cheesy
I just want to clarify that the December Forum Foibles is all about the fun we have giving gifts during this holiday season.  It has nothing to do with any one specific holiday. It has everything to do with sharing fun and friendship with forum members.

I don't think anything in my invitation to join in the Holiday Gift giving mentioned any one holiday. Gift giving is a world wide tradition. So please note that everyone no matter what you eat for breakfast, no matter what size your computer, no matter what color your desktop, no matter if you use Kde3 or Kde4 you are welcome to surprise a forum friend with a silly little Holiday Gift !!!  Grin  or not.... The New Year will soon be upon us
Oh how the time goes by
It's time to make those resolutions
And keep them...or maybe just try

So make your commitment now
Promise PCLOS you will be true
Renew your pledge to help
As a way to say Thank You

January will soon be here and it is not too early to be thinking about making those New Year's resolutions.
Time to make commitments to PCLinuxOS, friends and relatives or how about just to yourself.

The January Forum Foibles will feature member resolutions. It will make it much easier to keep yours if it is in ink for everyone to see (and laugh at).

Post your resolution of good intentions right here in the Forum Foibles topic OR send me a pm with your resolution. That way you can surprise everyone with your resolution when the January issue appears.
Remember there are no 'backsies'.

As usual there is a deadline for magazine entries and the magazine editor has the final say about what will be published.
All resolutions will be closely monitored for the next year.

And just for a little extra fun.......why not post a resolution right here that you think a forum member should make.
I can think of a dozen without even thinking.  Tongue
They probably won't make the magazine but they might get you a lot of friends.......hmmm maybe not.

HAPPY RESOLUTING!

Thanks to all who participated in the Forum Foibles Resolutions for the January magazine.

All resolutions will be closely monitored for the next year.

So......how is everyone doing with their resolutions?
Mine was to use some console commands. I did pretty well with the ls and mkdir. And I can move around....cd....without too much trouble.  Then I tried cp and I lost a file.  Angry Sad :'(  I have no idea where it is. It's just gone.
