After reading a recent post in the "help" forum. I have come to the conclusion that I need to give back to this AWESOME Distro and Community.

I have the bare minimum Linux experience....just enough to make myself dangerous  Grin

I can however do some grafix (I came in second in the mascot comp.)

Please feel free to let me know if there is any help you may need.

blndsyd,

Thanks for the offer! Of course, you're welcome to contribute to the magazine in any way you wish. That could be graphics, writing articles, help edit articles, help with magazine layout (we're a patient lot who will teach you, if you desire) ... there are lots of things you can do.

But first, I strongly suggest joining the PCLinuxOS Magazine's Google Group mailing list. This is the primary way the magazine staff members communicate with one another. You will also get notification of all articles in the magazine, as they are posted to Google Docs (which is our preferred way of submitting articles).

Second, here is the most recent link to the PCLinuxOS Magazine Submission Guide & Style Manual.

Third, if you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM here on the forum (I check in here ... a LOT).

Welcome aboard!

I wouldn't mind helping, I used to work at a newspaper as a typesetter, did some proofreading and got to do a few pages now and then. Not sure how much time I could give on a regular basis though.

We would love to have additional assistance. We have close to 250 members of the magazine mailing list, but less than 30 contribute to the editing and proofreading of the articles, even on an irregular basis. We (the ones who regularly contribute) would love to have an influx of new ideas, too. This small group of us can't possibly think of everything.

rolanaj, you are welcome to lend assistance in whatever capacity you are capable of ... and even some others! Article submissions are welcome from any PCLinuxOS user.
