This has worked, at times. Unfortunately I noticed once you get this error, it usually appears to be impossible to get it running correctly. No idea why...

What language would you like to get for it ?

Works in OpenBox. Please remember that you must use the latest addlocale (3.7) because we changed the compression format of the language archives to xz. Earlier addlocale version will not work anymore. Delete any "*.tar.bz" or "*.tar.xz" archives under /. What is the exact error message?

Hi Slax,
as mentioned before, did look for and delete any "sr_CS.tar.bz" or "sr_CS.tar.xz" archives in system root directory "/" and then run addlocale?

Hi Pinoc, hi Slax,

I have done some tests, yesterday I think. I installed Openbox Mini, the latest, in Virtualbox, updated fully - there was nothing to update though - installed Addlocale and attempted to switch to Serbian to see if I was getting a better result. I didn't. This is what I got:

I tried twice, got this twice. I checked what was in / with a "ls -lA" : nothing relevant. I check in /tmp, there there where 2 files with a name starting with "AL", I erased them between the 2 tries, but it didn't help better.

Then I tried to switch to French. This worked out perfectly, except for the "My Documents" icon on the desktop that stayed "My Documents" instead of switching to "Mes Documents" or just "Documents", and a few menus that may not have a translation in their respective *.desktop files. Then, after reboot, I tried again to switch to Serbian : and got again the same error as preceedingly. Then I started Addlocale from console, as root, and this has been the output of the console, saved to my host machine as text file, with the help of scp:

problem on my side, forgot to correct the language archive name (still had the old name "sr_CS" instead of "sr_RS") in my separate script which builds the language archives (now corrected). Have sent a corrected version to Tex which should be up within the next days when you will also find an updated addlocale 3.7-2 in the repos.

Slax, when you will have your Openbox in Serbian, would you send us a screenshot in the relevant forum where the people show their desktop ? (don't remember quite well where it is, but I hope you will find it). I'd like very much to see what the right-click menus look like in Serbian.

Hello!

I'm running PCLOS with e17 right now. Fantastic windows manager, fantastic distro.

However, I have a problem! While I'm French, I like my language to be English, for simplicity reasons. However I am currently living and working in Romania. And I sometimes come back to France or Germany.

How can I change the timezone for the UTC+02 while still having my locale set as "english"? I tried to righ-click on the clock, which only allowed me to put it in 24-hours via strftime, and that's all.

No way to manually edit the time, or to change the timezone!

Is there a way to set the clock without having to download a whole language?
