KDE 64 host - installed both 32 and 64 bit full and all went OK. The only issue I had was the system frozed when tried to install because the /home partition was full (had a lot of ISOs) but after deleting some all went OK. Well, I had another problem with GRUB2-efi... but I re-installed with the Legacy one and all went normal. Maybe I should remove GRUB" from the isos...
So, don't know what to say... :-\

The drakxtools aren't ready for grub2-efi or really grub2 for that matter. Your XFCE ISOs default to grub2-efi which fails to install the bootloader in Virtualbox and on legacy bios systems.  I re-ran the installer and this time I manually selected grub graphical which did install the bootloader.

ika, I have some suggestions that can reduce your master install by 200+mb that you use to build your iso. Let me know if you are interested in hearing them.

Later,
Tex

Yes, I noticed that too when I made a test install. I don't have efi boot...
Should I remove GRUB2 from the ISOs till draktools are ready?

Of course I am! Please tell me what else can I remove.

Thanks,

For whatever reason VirtualBox does not like the Grub2 option. The Grub option installed as normal.

So far the only thing I've noticed is a minor issue in the side pane of thunar...
1. File System under Devices has no icon.
2. The User folder under Places has no icon.
3. Browse Network has no icon.

Yep. Maybe Xfce updates will fix it. There are quite a few updates (Thunar included) in Xfce's GIT. Maybw the packagers will give a look there and prepare them... :D

About the dowload speed... don't know how SourceForge is working exactly. I've never downloaded ISOs (or something else) from there...

Thanks for trying out Xfce.

BTW, the note about GRUB2 was added afterwards so it's quite normal you gign't see it. ;D

The default icon theme is Oxygen. Yes, it's KDE but is the theme that was always used in the ISOs. Maybe there is missing something...
I have in mind to create a custom set of icons theme, a mix from different themes. See what will come out from this... :D

Don't know bit imwas wondering of the new xfce edition may use the old logo and splash screen of the previous phoe ix relases, just to have a touch of distinction form the other respins. :)

Tex, I am always interested in losing 20mb, and much more interested in losing 200.

For now I decided to go with the official theme.
Phoenix Edition is gone. Prohibited the use of that theme(s).

DeBaas

Thanks alot!... Very appreciated! But I have to replace all ISOs... Tomorrow or the day after will be uploaded. Meanwhile will stop all downloads. I rebuilt the ISOs and removed GRUB2.
Will it be too much for you to redo them afterwards?  :-[

Reduce the size of your XFCE ISOS quicklook.

1. Run bleachbit and remove locales since addlocale will take care of that. 182mb saved.

2. Run Synaptic, click on status and remove obsolete packages no longer in repo.
eina, eet, directfb1.4, nvidia96xx. 38mb saved

3. Delete the folders in /usr/share/doc except the HTML folder. 20mb saved.

4. remove libqt3 10mb saved

Thanks Tex.

Will give a look tomorrow, now I'm uploading new ISO... Removed GRUB2.
Strange thing is I also deleted grub2 folder from /boot and the files from /var/log and GRUB2 appeares listed in PCC->Boot->Set bootloader and not only in the installations which had it installed (I removed it from all systems) but also appears listed in all systems, even in the systems that never had it installed!!! Also is listed in the ISOs!...
Well, default is Grub Legacy but clicking in the selector GRUB2 is yhere... :)

Yep. That is the preliminary work going on with grub2. If you select it, the system will try to install it but it is not quite there yet with the drakxtools. The main thing is defaulting to grub legacy.
