Enlightenment e19 August 2014 community remaster
« on: August 14, 2014, 02:49:56 PM »
I am just uploading basically the last iso with repo updates a few updated e19 pkgs and the latest version of terminology, also it has the new kernel 3.15.9 if anyone wishes to try it.
It features again the same very nice theming as the previous iso (dark blue), special thanks to Agust.

Thanks @OnlyHuman.

Thought I might have a look at this to see if I add it to my selections offered to clients. I haven't looked at Enlightenment since v16 was moving to v17. It's come a long way I imagine?

Is this a hybrid iso, in other words, can I just burn to usb stick with "dd" or do I run 'isohybrid' over it first?

regards,
greywolf.

Hi greywolf,
thanks for downloading, it is not a hybrid iso.
It has the pclinux usb creator installed so possibly use that.
Maybe my recent e18.8 community remaster would be worth a look too,
as it uses the official pclos efl and enlightenment rpms. :)
Best wishes,

Hello. I installed this new iso. No problem. Old hardware immediately recognized and configured.
Only problem updating the system. Synaptic tells me that the system is updated. Localisation manager no.
This is the log file.

Hi predieri,
after installing,
I would go to synaptic and the files mentioned for replacement try locking them all,
this is done by highlighting each rpm then on synaptic bar at top on package click on lock version.

   e-module-alarm (20140612-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-cpu (20140608-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-diskio (20140811-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-moon (20140609-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-net (20140811-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-penguins (20140811-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-places (20140811-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-tclock (20140505-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   e-module-wlan (20140505-1pclos2014) (by task-enlightenment)
   elementary (20140813-1pclos2014) (by e-elementary)

then lock the other files it wants to install the same way, and try then clicking on menu>applications>more applications>localization manager, again.

   e-elementary (1.10.0-1pclos2014)
   enlightenment-config (0.18.5-1pclos2014)
   task-enlightenment (20140411-2pclos2014)

if that doesn't work maybe someone else can help.

Good luck,
OnlyHuman

Addlocale don't work with locked packages from menu.

The only option is then:
Start konsole/terminal.
Type: addlocale --no-updatetest <enter>

Hopefully it works then.

Thanks JohnW_57 for your help,

I found on the forum a post with what you mentioned by pinoc,

addlocale

to learn about additional command line options enter in a terminal: addlocale --help
addlocale --debug: verbose output for debugging
addlocale --no-vtest: skip to test for the latest available version of lomanager
addlocale --no-updatetest: skip the test to check if your system is fully updated

If anyone has problems after installing their locales,
on the shelf bottom right you should see a flag where you set languages, make sure the your countries flag is showing and at the top of the list.
On the menu>applications>more applications>configuration>keyboard-change.  remove where it says us and change to your country ie: for Great Britain gb. Then on menu configuration click on setkbmap
That should do it :)
