Installing/Updating LibreOffice through LibreOffice Manager I get:
Quote
LibreOffice package not found. Please use an updated version of Iomanager or the offline-installer decribed in important Notes 1b in Iomager thread.

Exiting...

Next Konqueror is started with http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,59009.0.0.html
When selecting >> LibreOffice 3.6.2 en_US packages plus installer for 32- and 64-bit can be downloaded from here: <<, an empty GE.TT (http://ge.tt/5ZO4oOO?c) tab is started with Loading page...
This loading page never ends and this result in not being able to download LO362_32/64bit.tar.gz in Konqueror.
When I open the same GE.TT (http://ge.tt/5ZO4oOO?c) in Firefox, it's no problem downloading LO362_32bit.tar.gz
I guess lomanager needs a change and uses Firefox instead of Konqueror
And maybe lomanager also needs an update to 3.6.2 ???
Because of this behavior, changing the language of LibreOffice is also impossible at this moment.
Forgot this: my system is 100% updated.

Which version of lomanager do you have installed?
If you do not have it installed  please install lomanager first and then run lomanager.
I currently have 3.6.2 installed and it works fine for me.

Currently I have lomanager 3.6.1 installed and 3.6.2 isn't available in Synaptic.

Which repository are you using? Are you using the P.A.S.S. server.  My repository (pclosusers.com) was last update today at 10:00pm and lomanager is 3.6.1-1pclos2012 Also the main repository at ibiblio shows lomanager-3.6.1-1pclos2012.i586.rpm   2012-Aug-29 13:06:46   44.4K    application/octet-stream

it should be obvious that lomanager 3.6.1 can not install LibreOffice 3.6.2. Please wait for lomanager 3.6.2 to appear in Synaptic, then use this version or if you do not want to wait use the LO offline installer.

I understand this and this was not obvious to me yesterday.
I am a Pclos user for ~2 weeks now.
Until that moment I used Pardus for many years and are also maintaining the repository at pardususer.de.
I detected this problem yesterday while doing a re-install to test my Grub screen resolution and ksplash on Asus Eee PC 1001PXD problem.
(strangely nobody agreed/disagreed/reacted to that problem so far).
Because of this lomanager problem I can not install the Dutch (my native language) version of LibreOffice.
Then on advice from lomanager: a) if an older LibreOffice version is installed run lomanager and choose: Completely remove LibreOffice, I came across the Konqueror-lomanager problem from the first post.
It all started by declaring LibreOffice as outdated by lomanager.
My judgement here is that something is wrong with version control in this case.

P.A.S.S. server has lomanager version 3.6.2.

I guess it will be available in other mirrors shortly...

P.A.S.S. is a reserved repository for those who decide to contribute to PCLinuxOS development financially. It is the same as the general PCLinuxOS repository except that it is supposed to get the updates first.

Welcome to PCLinuxOS. It is a small community of volunteers with no other financial benefactors. There are also no employers here.
Most of us are regular users rather than geeks. That also means we are a fun bunch.
We will really use your knowledge here.
Enjoy your stay.

Just a small correction to sling-shot: PASS server isn't supposed to get updated faster. It gets updates faster :)

But it's not just about getting the updates faster; it's more about supporting the distro and the people that work hard for it.
Even the smallest contribution is important.

There was a post somewhere about some update not yet being on PASS. I guess it was the big KDE update. That was what threw me off.

This means that there is a version control problem for those that use the regular repo's and a Konqueror-lomanager problem.

that's TRUE !
I'm on a PASS reserved repository server and my libre office is at 2.6.2.2 version.
As far as I know only lomanager is updated through synaptic, hence to get Base-Calc-Draw-Impress-Writer
updated you must have first the system fully updated and then launch lomanager which will update Libre Office.
cheers

No, this ^^^ is not what really happens when using the default repo's.
In an up-to-date system lomanager-3.6.1 only report what was already mentioned in the Quote in the first post.

Hi atolboo,

Welcome Dutchman. I use the Heanet repository which is still 3.6.1  It will be there in a day or so if you are patient.
If it is triple urgent you have it right now have a read of this:

http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php/topic,59009.0.html

I have been having a fight with an Acer Aspire D270 which also has a intel atom processor. Intel does not appear to like linux and so it is a pain to use. In time the issues will be fixed (for me no mic or card reader).
