Hi,

I have this problem:

In a message received with Thunderbird I cannot open link/url unless I tick in Firefox to perform checking of default browser. But when it is done in Firefox every time I open it it asks me if it to be the default browser - a little bit crazy, don't you think so?  Smiley

Do you have any solution?

assuming you have the kde version, since you didn't mention it  Wink , did you tried : configure your desktop> workspace appearance and behavior> default applications> web browser>firefox ?
hope this helps!

Hi Dario,

If you search the forum for Firefox and Thunderbird you'll find a number of posts relating to this issue.
I have given an explanation of why it occurs here and given instructions for avoiding it.

There is also an alternative procedure here which also works.
