« on: February 12, 2012, 05:27:48 PM »

i've d/l and installed XBMC but when i hit the icon it will not run.

If i run in a terminal i get ...

Code:
xbmc
params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/home/frazelle09/.smb/smb.conf":
        No such file or directory
params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/home/frazelle09/.smb/smb.conf.append":
        No such file or directory
ERROR: Unable to create application. Exiting

It looks like i need to do something with Samba.  Any suggestions as to what it should be?

Any help would be appreciated and have a great afternoon!  Smiley

Start  Konsole or Terminal and su to root

Type or copy and paste this:

[root@localhost ~]# mv /usr/lib/libGL.so* /opt
[root@localhost ~]# ldconfig

It works on my system.

Have a great evening!  Smiley

It's only a trick (workaround) to get some OpenGL applications to work (thanks goes to Texstar).
For more info you have to go the XBMC website and support channels.
Looks like it have to be done after every video driver update!  (not sure)
