Author Misha Glenny was interviewed by broadcast journalist Charlie Rose recently. The majority of discussion was based on Misha's current book, DarkMarket: Cyberthieves, Cybercops and You.

The interview is 20 minutes long, a provides an excellent summary of the threats currently facing the Internet.

Amazing. I've said for years that for every good there is an evil. That is the nature of the universe. Polar opposites must exist or there is no balance. Sort of like nature abhorring a vacuum.

The internet is an amazing thing but I don't think any person in any position of authority ever sat down and said "Tell me what the bad part of this is" or "How can this be abused?" Privacy is now history. The internet allows me to complete all my Christmas shopping without ever having to go to the mall... it also allows a 12 year old in China to steal all my information and cause me endless headaches trying to undo my identity theft....

Oh well. Nice find.
