Before doing a fresh install of my newly burned copy of 2012.02, I did a "Media Check". It passed but the only way I could get out of the "Media Check Result" screen was to press the reset button on the PC. Despite there being an "OK" button on the screen, there was no reaction to any key-presses or mouse-clicks. Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Which ISO exactly did you used ? I think this is not a mediacheck bug, because when running mediacheck from command line I didn't found any issue, however it's possible that there is something incorrect in some script that launch mediacheck or immediately after.

Just made a test, cannot replicate your issue, it's working fine here: after mediacheck completed, pressing ENTER the boot process continue as expected ... unionfs setup, udev start ...

mine is a notebook  Grin

So, do you think it's a keyboard related issue ? I think no, otherwise you should not be able to select "Mediacheck" at grub boot screen ...

Yes, it most definitely is a keyboard-related issue because I've just dug out my old PS/2 keyboard and I was able to gracefully exit the "Media Check Result" screen by hitting <Enter>.

Over to the developers .....
