Drummers become very comfortable holding a pair of sticks with familiar weight and balance.

A drummer can often easily swat a fly out of it's flight with a drum stick. I have done it several times.

So many years of practice, it is no wonder that we start doing things with drum sticks that do not involve playing the drums.

I have, in fact, avoided bar fights because I had my drum sticks with me.

Who in their right mind would fight a drummer that had his drum sticks in hand?

It doesn't appear that she can do either but I couldn't find another clip that showed so many different tricks in the same clip. LOL

The clip still doesn't show one of my favorite tricks. Maybe I can video it and show it?  Grin

+1 Stick twirling is a "by product" of learning to play the drums, not the other way around. Wink
