I wear subscription glasses. My prescription hasn't changed in over 8 years. Today, I got a new pair, with a new prescription. That is to say, my eyesight hasn't changed in over 8 years, until now. Kiss my Johnson! I can't see anything within 8 feet with these things. I already had to take my glasses off to see within 3 feet but now I will have to remove them anytime I am in an enclosure such as a house, or my own kitchen. It's a good thing that I have always been able to play my drums with my eyes closed.

I understand dude. It took me about a week to get used to my last pair. I think the eye doctors just give you what ever prescription they want to, and force your eyes to adjust to it. It's like some kind of eye doctor conspiracy or something.

I was going to comment on part of your post Rudge, but I think I would just get myself in trouble. Put on a pair of these.

I am a bit surprised I didn't get myself in trouble I saw ZZ Top live in the early 80's (Atlanta) and it was a disaster. One big sloppy wall of noise. Every song was like that. I couldn't even tell what song they were playing. My guess is that the sound guy screwed something up cos it's hard to make that much of a mess with only three guys?

That shucks. You should have just trusted them. I guess we all have a bit too much curiosity in us at times.

Still need to go get mine fixed. Stepped on them getting out of a hot-tub in Leavenworth, WA. My fav ones ever, hope they're fixable.
Not sure what you mean by "subscription" glasses though.

I have this funny glasses where the lens changes from seeing far to reading when you look down. Boyoboy, I was seasick when I got them ... what a nightmare. Got used to it after a while so and now I can focus on the PC screen somewhere between far and close. Shouldn't you get something like that, Rudge. Otherwise I see you running around with to pair of glasses - one for seeing far and one for your kitchen .... Having said that - I need to press ctrl ++ more and more lately - time for a replacement I reckon .... Becoming old is not for sissies ...

I hated them and insisted that they switch me back. I guess I am going to have to try them again.

THose type of lenses are tough to get used too. Actually most people have trouble with them. I decided not to get that kind because of all the people I knew that didn't like them. As for indestructible frames. Most people that get titanium frames don't realize it is only the frames that are titanium and the ear pieces are not. And are surprised when they try to tie them in a knot and OOPS. Mistake.
