Now that I have PCLOS installed on my laptop, I'm noticing what appears to be a graphics issue:

When I choose "log out" & the login screen appears, it suddenly starts flashing/flickering for a matter of seconds. I'm not sure how else to describe it, but the screen looks very "messy" while this is happening.... Then a text prompt appears asking for a login. My only way out at that point is to shut down & restart.

Any help with this will be appreciated!

Effects (if any) enabled?

More information, please.

Did you install one of the 2.6.38.8-pclos1.pae kernels that I suggested in your original install post ?

Also have you gone into PCC>Hardware>configure your video card ?   I believe that you should be using the
Radeon HD 2000 and later (radeonhd/fglrx) driver for your video card.
Also check monitor and set it to 1440X900 and Resolution to automatic.

I installed the kernel, & selected that driver as well as the resolution. It seems to have fixed my arrow issue, but not the flashing login screen.

Have you tried enabling them to see if that helps?

If you can keep you head while all around you are losing theirs, then you have misunderstood the situation.

It won't let me. I got an error message saying something about "configuration options". Whatever that means....

Sorry, but that doesn't help at all. I can't read the text on those screenshots, & I have no clue if it'll work or totally cripple my installation. I've already borked it twice by choosing another driver that didn't work....
