Just wanted to say hi... I've been using PCLOS for a few years now, but must admit to being an inveterate distro-tryer-outer (notice I didn't say hopper!). I generally boot whichever distro I've most recently gotten working, but always fall back to PCLOS for daily use/actual work. Does anyone else have this disease? I mean, am I the only one with 24 distros currently installed? The phrase "dual-booting" seems somehow... well, anyway... I've been using the forum here for a while for help, and finally got around to joining. I look forward to interacting with the helpful, friendly bunch here!

bosko, A warm welcome to you, from New Zealand. Look no further - you're in the right place. Just sit back and enjoy. Check out the magazine site - you should be impressed: http://pclosmag.com/Jim

Thanks! I've been reading the magazine for a while now and it's great. Really gives insight into the community, not to mention useful info.

You're not the only one with the disease. But, you are probably the only one here with 24 distros installed. I used to have 20 different operating systems installed, give or take a few. Different DOS versions, different Windows versions, different BeOS versions ... Well, you get the picture. I don't dual boot any more. Not since I discovered VirtualBox and, earlier, Qemu. Now, I can run almost whatever I want to in a virtual session and never leave the comfort of home. Welcome to the forum, bosko!

Thanks dj! I have done some installs in virtualbox, but I find it to not really give an accurate read on how an os will really perform. With disk space so cheap and over 3 tb of storage, I always opt for a real install these days.

Welcome from Germany, bosko! My first linux was PCLinuxOS, then Debian Etch, Elive and a return to PCLinuxOS. Debian is a great Distro, too. Enjoy your ride ...

I had that 'disease' once ....... but PCLOS apparently cured it. In fact my distro count was 24 also over three drives IIRC. There were no TB drives in those days Welcome & Have fun!

Greetings from Baltimore, neighbor! Currently writing on an ancient Asus 700 netbook from PCLOS while in Sinai Hospital. At this point, waiting to get to physical therapy and back to the 'real world' where I have machines capable of downloading 2012.02 KDE. Can't wait to install that new version on some non-rolling installations. I've been primarily PCLOS since 2007. Alan

Welcome, bosko!!! I've also tried a few other distros, and always came back to PCLinuxOS. However, I never did more than dual boot. I do have several versions of PCLOS in Virtual Box! I've been happy here since 2006.
