"Discuss anything of interest here, but obey the rules! " I thought might have included something along the lines of do not post material that discriminates, or promotes discrimination, against any person, race, gender, creed, or stereotype.  Apparently, the rules contain no such item. So, I apologize for speaking as I did.

I think you've missed something: "Kick a Ginger Day" was part of a satirical show and not intended to promote discrimination, just the opposite. That it then seems to have led to that some fools have found a new group of people to bully is indeed ironic - and that, I suppose, was the point of Andy's post.

I thought so too.

At the end of pupthais' piece, he concludes 'Kind of sick.'

And Andy first words after that were 'Indeed...' I took it he amplified that conclusion and yes, he went on to say the thread was not supposed to amuse.

CY087, Andy is definitely on your side in this matter. I am too.

This thread was not suppose to amuse anyone.

Well it certainly did not amuse me.

What part of the "I don't care what amuses You" is confusing?

Quote
It was suppose to force You to seek more info about it and then get some sort of reflections.

Yes, it did. It reminded me well of being bullied as a red headed child.

Sorry to hear that... I wasn't bullied. I never took shell script from anyone without returning the favor. Neither will I start now.

Quote
Third since when do I have to amuse You for my threads to be classified as a "good and worth keeping"?.

Well, I appear to have been mistaken.

Yes... That part is correct. I was not the one who invented "Kick the ginger" day. I am merely posting it to make You look at it and reflect. Reflect does not means feel sorry for Yourself. It means - think about it and try making a difference in Your world. Outside the house. Sounds REALLY bad doesn't it? I should be hang...

Quote
Fourth - Boo freakin hooo...

However, I would like you to review rule 15.

Yeah and I am taking the fifth...  Roll Eyes

Second. Don't like it don't read it.

Thank you. Advice noted and will be followed forthwith.

Noted. But this means You will not get a cookies when I will start a free cookie thread... Not mentioning bacon...

That it then seems to have led to that some fools have found a new group of people to bully is indeed ironic - and that, I suppose, was the point of Andy's post.

Thank You for noticing. Some people are getting so caught up in all this - they miss the point and try to crucify me...

Regards.

Indeed... The post was not a way of promoting "Kick the ginger day"... Like I wrote. Some of us misunderstand my points...

Thanks for understanding.

Oh internet, imagine someone getting all bent out of shape over misunderstanding the intent of a post.  Were I to witness "Kick a Ginger Day", my response would be "Clock a Bully Week".  Kids are pointlessly cruel, and will find any excuse to single out someone and torment them.  A television show is hardly needed for this sort of stratification to occur.  It could just as easily have been "Flatten a Fatty Day", or "Smack Jimmy Upside the Head Weekend".  It does not justify the behavior at all, but it is a simple reality.  I am sorry to hear that someone did suffer taunting and bullying as a child due to being ginger.  However, it is also obvious that that is what is causing this intensely hostile reaction because you are reading into the original post intent that was not there.  I did not look at the original post and think it was advocating I go out and kick a redhead.  I seriously doubt most anyone else here thought that was the point either.
