Viewing and restoring files created with duplicity [closed ]

Hello,duplicity help
From another distro I used a program called Backup, this I understand used duplicity to back up the files. These were backed-up to an external hard drive. I now have the need to restore some of them. However, Backup is not in the PCLinuxOS synaptic depository.
So, what I would like to be able to do is to view the contents of these files and restore specific ones.
There seems to be three files for the date that I am looking for (see below)
I guess I will have to do this manually via the terminal? If it is possible can anyone help with the format of the duplicity commands?
file:///home/garyp/DuplicityHold/duplicity-c.20111224T153622Z.to.20111231T190549Z.manifest.gpg
file:///home/garyp/DuplicityHold/duplicity-inc.20111224T153622Z.to.20111231T190549Z.vol1.difftar.gpg
file:///home/garyp/DuplicityHold/duplicity-new-
signatures.20111224T153622Z.to.20111231T190549Z.sigtar.gpg
Addition: I think the program was Deja Dup which I have downloaded using Synaptic but it will not allow the file to be restored.
Final addition. I went back to a 'livecd' from the old distro. I then ran Deja Dup and the problem is that I secured the data with a password which I cannot now remember. So, I am stuffed on this now. So will close the post.
Thanks
Gary
