Is there a working volume plasmoid for KDE right now?  I've added plasmaVolume and Veromix, but neither will run, some sort of script issue.  I haven't found any in synaptic, or any others available for download.

I want a volume control applet on my panel.  I don't have one.  I can't find one to add.

I assume you're using KDE....:
You don't want to use the system tray (where Kmix is visible in?), or....?
=> if you don't want too much icons on the bar, you can set which icons are visible / hidden  Wink

arkanabar,

Do a search for "mixer" in Synaptic. Most of the audio mixers will give you what you want. Don't search for "volume". "Volume" can mean too many things.

aha!  Kmix appears to be missing!  Synaptic away!!

edit:  I've installed kdemultimedia4, ran kmix from the terminal, and all now seems well.
