I have an Acer Iconia W500, the PC tablet version, not the android one.

It is running the dual core AMD C50 Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB SSD Drive.

Does PCLinuxOS support this device?

Also, how do I install it without a keyboard?

Hmmm...

Put the installation on a usb stick and it gets to the grey screen with the green bar going across but thats it.  Doesn't go any further.  Suggestions?

Found a usb keyboard though!

My suggestion and is most likely wrong. Use a USB hub if there are not enough usb
ports on your tablet. Then hook the keyboard and the stick and hope that works.

I already have both the usb keyboard and memory stick hooked up to it.  Glad it has 2 USB ports on it.  The problem is with the installation, doesn't seem to want to go anywhere.  Gets stuck at the grey pclinuxos screen.

Do you get the boot menu, or doesn't it get that far?

Yep, I don't recognize/remember something like a "green bar" (and recently did 2 PCLOS installations);.....
=> did you select an entry on the boot menu, and is PCLinuxOS trying to load (with a bar)?

Also:
With a bit of luck, the touch panel will be recognized..... but it definitely won't be multi-touch (because that still has to be included in an official Xorg release  Smiley) - as far as I know

Did you try using Vesa boot?

Does it support the C-50 APU?

That's an AMD CPU, comparable to an Atom CPU. If you can boot, it's supported. From what I've read, the ATI Radeon chipset is used as the GPU. Maybe the particular chipset is a problem, maybe not.

The one thing you have not mentioned is which PCLinuxOS iso you're trying to boot from.

Yes, that is the model.

I am trying to install the PCLinuxOS KDE 2011.09

I also tried installing the new PCBSD 9.0 with similar results.  Nothing but Windows 7 wants to install on this thing.
