Tex, it was with heavy heart that I read the news.  I've always admired and respected you for your "it's done when it's done right, and the rest can just wait" way of doing things.  I have the same sentiment in my own work, and I recently had several of my customers start telling me - while chomping at the bit for the next release of one of my programs - that I need to take a break.  I think I'll take that advice and learn from your achievements.  Wink

Since I'm in Florida, maybe I'll come find you in the Bahamas, and take a vacation too.  lol

Get some high quality rest my friend. (Thick cut, smoked!)  As I am told and must now finally admit... you can't do what you love if you don't have your health.  Be well, and best wishes.

What I think I may have to do is keep a doing it until Texstar returns.   Shocked

It will either get him a running back to stop the clatter or get him running back here because it cheered him up.   Grin

And we are not making a poll to see which one.  Tongue

Don't know if there's any significance here, but Tex just emailed, asking if I had any shooters ear protectors he could borrow...  Shocked

It's posts like this that just make me all the more determined.  Grin

Don't recall who said all these things, but I am sure Texstar followed many of them while working on PCLinuxOS.

When people warn me against doing something once my mind is made up, I grow increasingly determined to try it.

I know what I want to do, and it makes sense to get going.

Be prepared for disappointment and frustration. Be persistent and bounce back even more determined to succeed.

Determine that the thing can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way.

I do not know whether I will be in this place for a short or a long time. That is for others to decide. But what I do know is that I have no intention of being here for the sake of just being here. Together with my colleagues it is my intention to make a difference.

I won't take no for an answer.

My style of deal-making is quite simple and straightforward. I aim very high, and the I just keep pushing and pushing and pushing to get what I'm after.

And I'm tuning up right now.   Wink
