Updates

I am seeing quite a lot of postings which mention keeping up to date with all the recent updates.
But I have only had two updates in the past 5-6 weeks, one of which was the new Libreoffice script. I can't remember what the other was.
Am I missing all the updates, or aren't there any more?
My version is the main PCLinuxOS 2011.09.
Many thanks for any information.
Cheers.
Keith.

Hi Keith,
you can only get updates for your installed applications => "small" system = few updates; "large" system = more updates because you have more installed applications for which updates are available.
hope this helps,
-p.

Additionally there haven't been a great many updates in these past weeks as I believe a lot of time is being spent on developing and transferring the apps to the new 64bit build(s) currently in motion.
Last I heard close to 10,000 had been transferred over which, by anyone's reckoning, is a lot of work and time.

Thank you both for your replies.
It is apparent that I haven't got a problem, but it's a '64bit' reason.
Ten thousand apps having been developed and transferred is mind boggling.
Cheers.

Over 13,000 packages, not 10,000, are in the 32bit repo. We are progressing - near 10,000 - with the 64bit, but it takes time.
