I hope this is the right section

I have a htc android phone recently started, and used it as my modem, without any problems. Then for reasons that are not relevant, I was cut off from the net.
Now when the phone was working correctly, it was USB0. Since the supplier fixed my phone by telling me how to. The phone now is seen as USB1, and will not connect.
Do you know how I can change the USB in the network settings? I have tried to but have not been successful as yet.

any help would be appreciated.

Now solved.
I removed the battery from the android, waited a short time. Then put the battery in the phone, and let it reboot. Hey ho connect USB0.

Hi johnbywr - welcome to the forum, nice to have you with us.

Can I possibly suggest you post some info about the Androids model name/number and any hardware specs that you know, along with what things you've already tried so forum members don't duplicate it.

May also help to know which version of PCLinuxOS you have installed

If you can keep you head while all around you are losing theirs, then you have misunderstood the situation.

Searching for android tethering this was the closest thread I found...

I just went through some hoop-jumping exercises to get my HTC EVO 4G working as a USB modem.  If that sort of thing has been working for everybody like right out of the box, I won't go into unnecessary details.  It didn't seem all that easy for me till I got over a hurdle or two.  One thing I had to do was download the Android SDK http://dl.google.com/android/android-sdk_r16-linux.tgz and install it in my PC (PCLOS-GNOME) to get the use of the ADB command.  Till executing that I didn't manage to get a usb wired connection listed as available in my Network Center although I could get the phone card listed as a usb drive.  Though I had no trouble with installing it, it would be good if that SDK were in Synaptic.  Of course, it's possible I went through extra trouble by accidentally skipping some easy step but once I'd taken care of several details I couldn't be happier.  I didn't expect to be able to make and receive calls and do messages with my phone while it's got my desktop online at 3G speed.

[I swear I didn't see that other "mobile internet" thread when I posted this!]
