dansguardian upgrade wants to remove postfix

Is the latest version of dansguardian really dependent on Sendmail and unable to use Postfix, or is it just a packaging problem?

dansguardian no longer needs postfix but sendmail instead, tested and works fine like that, some other issues were resolved as well with this update done by Tex Wink

But isn't there a virtual package that represents both postfix and sendmail? People who have chosen to use one shouldn't be forced to change just because a package that needs a mailer has specified a particular one.
