Hi,
It is an updated version, with little improvement to the autostart.sh configuration file and in the scripts which run the xcompmgr effects. I also added Xsnow in the desktop effects, as in the Edu (fun and so light... )
Get it here,
pclinuxos-openbox-bonsai-2012.01.17.iso

pclinuxos-openbox-bonsai-2012.01.17.md5sum

Who wants to give it a try ?

Regards,
Mélodie

If I didn't know better, I would say the above conversation should have never been documented.  Wink Grin Grin

Well if I run xsnow on and then run xsnow off
the PCManFM takes over the desktop again.   I
commented it out of autostart.sh

Hi Melodie!

I downloaded and ran as liveCD.  It looks great, runs great, and I like the snow!  No shutdown/reboot problem.  The only problem I found is that running the CD hijacks my system clock.  I think it gives me French time.  :-).

Hi MrBill !
Yes, French time is on. I had done 2 fast tries in vbox (and redid it 2 times, wao remasters are fast done in my new machine !)

I should probably revert it to "Factory" before providing it...  :|

Hi Jeff !
Looking forward for your feedback. I prepared an update version, with factory on in timezone, but if you find any other glitch that can be fixed, it should not take long to make a newer one (a few minutes in this machine now, just wonderful !  ^^ )

Nothing else noted at this time.  All looks good.  I'll do more testing after dinner and let you know if I find anything else.
