FYI some apps are not yet ported and some simply don't work in 64bit mode without a bunch of hacking. I've yet to get Google Earth working on 64bit. Wine is a major hassle as well as Adobe acrobat reader. The reason is these are primarily 32bit applications and need 32bit libraries copied into your 64bit system. Then the librarie locations needs to be exported in a startup script so the application can locate them.
Tex you can do it. Your Texstar. Around the Linux Community your known as the Packager Extraordinaire. I know that in a 64-bit environment Google Earth has a problem finding the 32-libs and Hulu can't seem to locate Adobe Flash. As someone once said “it's ready - when it's ready.” I also know it will be worth the wait. That's easy for me to say. My packaging experience is removing a bottle of Jack Daniel's from a paper bag.
